Insert a chart as a sub-grid in a record form

Can I do this task?

  1. Open the record to which you want to add the chart.
  2. On the Customize tab, in the Design group, click Form.
  3. On the Insert tab, in the Control group, click Sub-Grid.
  4. In the Sub-Grid Properties dialog box, specify the following details:
    • Name. Specify a unique name for the chart.
    • Label. Specify a label for the chart.
    • Display label on the form. Select this check box if you want the label to be displayed on the chart header.
  5. In the Records drop-down box, click whether you want the chart to be associated with all record types or only for related records.
  6. In the Entity drop-down box, click the entity for which you want to insert the chart.
  7. In the Default View drop-down box, click the view that will be used to retrieve the data in the chart.
  8. In the Default Chart drop-down box, click the default chart that should be displayed on the sub-grid.
  9. Select the Display Chart Selection check box if you want the option of selecting charts from the sub-grid.
  10. Click OK.
