Export data from Salesforce.com

To use your Salesforce.com data in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, you must first export it from Salesforce.com and then import it into Microsoft Dynamics CRM. You can export your Salesforce.com data in the following ways:

Full-Data Export

Use the Data Export feature to extract all or a part of your data currently in Salesforce.com. This feature exports data into a .zip file containing one comma-separated value (.csv) file for each Salesforce.com object. To import this data into Microsoft Dynamics CRM after exporting it from Salesforce.com, use the Full Data Export data map.

Report Export

Use a report export to export your report data from a Salesforce.com object into one .csv file. Repeat this for each report you want to export to Microsoft Dynamics CRM. To preserve the data relationships for all record types, compress every .csv file into a single .zip file and then import the single .zip file into Microsoft Dynamics CRM. To import this data into Microsoft Dynamics CRM after exporting it from Salesforce.com, use the Report Export data map.

Contact and Account Report

Use the Contact and Account report to extract your account and contact records in Salesforce.com. This report exports contact and account records to a single .csv file. To import this data into Microsoft Dynamics CRM after exporting it from Salesforce.com, use the Contact and Account Report data map for Salesforce.com to retain the relationship between the contact and account data.

Note

To import a file that contains data for two record types and retain the relationship between the data, make a copy of the Contact and Account Report data map and customize the data map for the record types that you want to import. Use this customized data map to import the file.
