Create a task in an Outlook form

  1. If you have Outlook 2007 installed, on the File menu, point to New, and then click Task.

    - OR -

    If you have Outlook 2010 installed, on the Home tab, click New Items, and then click Task.

  2. Complete the form.
  3. In the CRM group, click Track.
  4. If you want to select a Microsoft Dynamics CRM record to link to the task, click Set Regarding. Click the record that you want, and then click OK.
  5. Click Save or Save and Close.

    After you save the record, the View in CRM button is available. To open the Microsoft Dynamics CRM activity to add or edit information, click View in CRM.

    The task appears in your Outlook Tasks area. If you chose to track the task in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, it appears in your list of activities.

Note

To edit a task, in your Outlook Task List, open the task, make your changes, and then save the task.
