Add or delete a quote, order, or invoice

Can I do this task?

  1. In the Navigation Pane, click Sales, and then click Opportunities.
  2. In the list, open the opportunity you want.
  3. To add a quote, in the Navigation Pane, under Information, click Quotes. Click the quotes list area, and then under List Tools, on the Quotes tab, in the Records group, click Add New Quote.

    - OR -

    To add an order or an invoice, in the Navigation Pane, under Sales, click one of the following:

    • Orders

      Under List Tools, on the Orders tab, in the Records group, click Add New Order.

    • Invoices

      Under List Tools, on the Invoices tab, in the Records group, click Add New Invoice.

  4. Complete the form as needed. More information:
  5. Click Save or Save and Close. Repeat this step to save the opportunity.

Note

To delete a quote from an opportunity, in the Navigation Pane, under Information, click Quotes. In the list of quotes, select the quote that you want to delete, and then on the Quotes tab, in the Records group, click Delete Quote.

- OR -

To delete an order from an opportunity, in the Navigation Pane, under Sales, click Orders. In the list of orders, select the order that you want to delete, and then on the Orders tab, in the Records group, click Delete Order.

- OR -

To delete an invoice from an opportunity, in the Navigation Pane, under Sales, click Invoices. In the list of invoices, select the invoice you want to delete, and then in the Records group, click Delete Invoice.

Important

Deleting a quote, order, or invoice from the opportunity permanently deletes the quote, order, or invoice.
