The right pane of the Map Fields page of the Import Data Wizard is divided into two sections: Required Fields and Optional Fields. The Required Fields area shows each of the required CRM Fields to map to in order to successfully import data from a source file. For each required Microsoft Dynamics CRM field, the list in the Source Fields column contains the column headers from the source file to which you can map the Microsoft Dynamics CRM field.
Task |
Do this |
Map the Microsoft Dynamics CRM field to a column header |
Click an item from the Source Fields list to map the column header from the source file. |
Allow Import Data Wizard to use default values of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM field instead of using the data in the source file columns. |
Click Not Mapped (Use Default) from the Source Fields list. |
Important
In the data map that you select, if a source file column is mapped to more than one Microsoft Dynamics CRM field or if the Microsoft Dynamics CRM fields are mapped through transformation mapping, the list for that field in the Source Fields column shows Internally Mapped. You cannot change the mappings for a field like this. A target field that is used in the transformation mapping or for a multiple mapping is not in the list to prevent you from mapping that field with other source columns.
